Who doesn’t need Optimism in todays’ world? It can change a mindset, an objective, an agenda, a lifestyle and much more.  Optimistic people are more likely to live to the age of 85 or beyond, according to recently released findings by researchers at Boston University School of Medicine and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I brings joy to those around us!

The Clarkston Area Optimist Club has been in the business of bringing a positive vision to the community for over 38 years.  Everything we do involves children through educational support, programs, scholarship programs, special recognition, recreational activities, leadership development and skills training.  Our youth are indeed our “future” and a connection, through optimism, creates creative, innovative changes that will impact their world.

We invite you to be curious about what we do as part of a world-wide service organization!  You can find lots of information on our website and better yet, come visit us for coffee and donuts every Wednesday morning at Clarkston Methodist Church, 6600 Waldon Road, in Clarkston.  Even at that hour, there is positive energy in the room and many connections to what is going on in Clarkston, for the youth.  We hope to see you there!
